Craig and I saw the Dreamworks movie ‘How To Train Your Dragon’ and really enjoyed it! He did this ink drawing of the character Ruffnut and I decided to try my hand at colouring it.

I’m really glad to share this piece I’ve done for the Kessels Kramer project New Tapestry that’s all about different illustrators world wide doing pieces about major weekly news events that happened in 2009. They are all going to be assembled together as a modern recreation of the Bayeux Tapestry, which depicted the current events of 1066! I had week 49 and chose to do an illustration based on the Queen of England issuing a strong warning newspapers to stop publishing paparazzi photos of the Royal Family. The whole thing can be viewed online starting January 8th.

And with this piece I’m closing out 2009! So much has happened for me this year and I’m so grateful for all my family and friends that helped and supported me through all my adventures. I’m excited to see what the futuristic world of the year TWENTY X will bring! Happy New Year everybody!

Did this little bit of Legend of Zelda: Windwaker fanart for some quick photoshop practice today!

I did this piece for a poster show in Alberta my friend Gabe put on recently. The theme of the show is “Where Are You From?” All of the artists involved were asked to make a piece that reflected their roots. So I focused on my love of adventure stories as a kid and what a huge impact they had on me. So I made up a hero named “Richard Fathom” and surrounded him with enemies that are trying to get their hands on the Stone Of Power!

I’ve been playing through Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box recently! It’s really fun. But I sort of feel like Layton is going to snap one day from all of Luke’s whining. Anyway it inspired me to do this drawing for some Photoshop practice!
