Pitt Brush pen tip

Dale pointed out this post Corey Lewis made about cutting a brush pen and using it to draw. It reminded me that not many people seem to know that you can reverse the tip on a Faber-Castell Pitt brush pen. I totally agree that you can’t really get good lines out of one of those pens for long, but at least I can get a bit more of them by doing this trick.

Ukulele

I’ve wanted a portable instrument for a while now. I played piano competitively for ten years or so, but I stopped once I went to college because I was just too busy. When I saw this ukulele in the window of a store a couple weeks ago I just knew I had to have it! It’s so much fun to play and it’s so relaxing to just pick up an instrument for fun this time around.

I stuck these awesome stickers my pal Lindsay gave me on it. So now they watch me play. The fish probably cheers me on, and the starfish is all “WHAT ARE YOU DOING, PLAY BETTER!!”

The first song I learned was Postcards From Italy by Beirut. Today I taught myself the theme from Adventure Time! I need to make myself a Finn hat to wear when I play it I think. With my fake beard. YEAH!

Captain Picard Day Project

TCAF is this weekend! Craig and I will be on the second floor so come and say hi! It’s FREE entry!

We’ll have lots of books, prints, art, buttons and other stuff with us, including my new mini Amateur Adventuring: The Tale Of Durrseus.

Look at that gold embossed cover! SO FANCY! I absolutely got glitter everywhere while doing them, giving me the skin of a killer for a day.

Also! Broken Pencil magazine did an interview with me in their newest issue that’s on stands now. They’ve also posted it up on their site and you can read it here!

I’m so excited for TCAF! See you dudes this weekend!

Tron sketches!

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t mega excited about the Tron Legacy movie that comes out next December. It’s too far away! The trailer looks so awesome! Everything is better when it’s surrounded by a glowy haze, I guess.

Walt DisneyWorld!

I just got back on Friday from a great trip I took to DisneyWorld in Florida with my mom, sister and nephew! It was a great time and it was so nice to see all the great stuff inspiring stuff going on over there. I haven’t been since I was a kid and it was like a completely different experience visiting all the parks and resorts. Thought I have to say I still love Pirates Of the Carribean the most! Here’s a few pictures I snapped of some things I enjoyed seeing over there:

Now it’s time to make some licorice spice tea and get back to work!
